Im a 16 year old that just got her license, and I want a new beetle as my first car. Somewhere around 5K or so and not too new (since insurance is usually higher on new cars). I’ve heard that vw has really bad reviews on their jettas and beetles. I’d appreciate some feedback on these cars, and what year they were good to buy.

For your first car you shouldn’t get any Volkswagen. They are very expensive to fix and maintain and when something goes wrong they are very complicated and hard to even find out whats wrong with them, lead along to fix. The good brands for a 16 year old are Honda, Toyota, and Mini.
